Bardiya National Park, with an area of 968 square kilometers, is the largest national park in the lowland Terai. The park was established in Nepal's Western Terai to protect representative ecosystems and conserve the habitat of the tiger and its prey species.

Overview

Bardiya National Park is one of the most pristine conservation areas in the Terai and is home to the endangered Royal Bengal tiger and Nepal's famous One-horned rhinoceros among the many other mammals and reptiles. The park located in the far western district of Bardiya is bordered by the Karnali River in the west, the Churia range in the north, and the Babai River flows right through. The national park is covered in vast Sal forests, riverine jungles, and tall elephant grass, making it an ideal habitat for all kinds of species that roam freely. The park hosts 30 different mammals, more than 250 species of birds, and several varieties of reptiles and water animals. There are more sightings of tigers here than in other national parks which attracts visitors who come repeatedly to catch a glimpse of the elusive animal.

Kathmandu To Nepalgunj

Kathmandu to Nepalgunj. Pick up from Hotel and take to the airport. Check-in Hotel.

Tharu Village and Elephant breeding.

Have Breakfast in the hotel and head for the Tharu village tour and then to the elephant breeding center. Back to Hotel.

National Park

Breakfast at Hotel, Jungle safari to Bardia National park.

End of Tour

Check out the hotel. Pick up from the hotel and visit the Babai river to spot various kinds of wild crocodiles. Head to Nepalgunj and back to Kathmandu.
